Tile is the finish that punishes bad prep

A tile floor is only as flat as the subfloor under it. A shower wall is only as watertight as the membrane behind it. Grout is only as durable as the color-matched, water-repellent grout you specified — not the default premium bag someone grabbed at the supply house. Every tile job we quote starts with the prep, not the pattern.

Tile work we do in bathrooms

• Full shower wall tile with a bonded waterproofing membrane (Schluter Kerdi, Wedi, or Laticrete Hydro Ban).
• Floor tile including heated-floor installs.
• Large-format porcelain (24x48, 32x32, 48x48) — the finish that reads as modern and reduces grout lines.
• Mosaic sheet tile — for niches, shower floors, and feature walls.
• Herringbone, stacked bond, running bond, and picture-frame layouts.
• Marble, travertine and natural stone — sealed and detailed correctly (a wrong sealer stains at first splash).

What separates a tile job that lasts from one that doesn't

• Uncoupling membrane under floor tile (Schluter Ditra or equivalent) — prevents cracks from telegraphing through the tile as the subfloor moves.
• Banded waterproofing at every inside corner, curb, and pan-to-wall transition.
• Correct thinset for the tile size. Large-format porcelain needs a large-and-heavy-tile mortar, not a lightweight bag grabbed off the shelf.
• The niche shelf sloped to drain — water pools on a flat shelf and pushes past the sealant every time.
• Grout color chosen after the tile arrives, not from a swatch that lies against your specific tile in your specific light.
